Legal notice
Legal notice of the Wardogs Companion website, last updated on 8 October 2026.
It covers the website. The Wardogs Companion extension for Twitch has its own texts: its privacy policy and its terms of use.
Publisher
Wardogs Companion is a free, non-commercial website: no advertising, no donations, no affiliate links, no income. It is published by a private individual, on a non-professional basis, under the pseudonym BiggyQLF, who is also the publication director.
Contact: wardogscompanion@gmail.com
Host
Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States (vercel.com).
Intellectual property
The code, texts, design and logos of Wardogs Companion are protected by copyright: © 2026 BiggyQLF, all rights reserved. The source code is public on GitHub so that it can be read, but it is not open source: apart from the exceptions provided by law and what GitHub’s terms allow, any copy or reuse, even partial, requires the publisher’s prior written permission. Third-party elements listed in the credits remain under their own licences.
WARDOGS is developed by Bulkhead Limited (BULKHEAD) and published by Team17 Digital Limited (Team17). Its names, logos, visuals and media belong to their rights holders, and no right is claimed over them. The home page shows some of them to present this project to BULKHEAD; they will be removed at their rights holders’ request, sent to wardogscompanion@gmail.com.
Wardogs Companion is an independent, unofficial community project. It is not endorsed or supported by BULKHEAD, Team17 or Twitch, and is not affiliated with them.
Personal data
The site itself sets no cookies. It uses no advertising, no audience measurement and no tracking, loads nothing from any other site, and has no accounts or forms.
Settings kept in your browser
To keep your settings and where you are in your visit, the site stores a few values in your browser. They never leave it: the site’s scripts send them nowhere.
- Until the tab is closed (sessionStorage): animations, sound and volume, console switched on, intro already seen, sections already opened and the time the console was first opened.
- For 13 months at most after your last choice (localStorage): the faction chosen on the radar. After that, the site no longer uses it and deletes it on your next visit.
They only serve what you asked for, so they do not require your consent (French Data Protection Act, article 82). Their names all start with “wardogs”. You can delete or block them in your browser’s settings: the site then still works, without remembering your choices.
Technical data processed by the host
To send you the pages, Vercel necessarily receives the technical data of each request, including: your IP address (and the approximate location derived from it), the page requested, the date and time, your browser and your system.
- Why: to display the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: the legitimate interest in serving a reliable and secure site (GDPR, art. 6(1)(f)).
- Who receives it: Vercel, the host. On the free plan used here, Vercel processes this data under its own privacy policy. In case of suspicious traffic, Vercel may show a verification page; if your browser passes it, it keeps a verification session for one hour.
- How long: the publisher can see part of it (IP addresses, pages, browsers, countries) in the Vercel dashboard for 24 hours at most, and keeps no copy. Vercel keeps its own data under its privacy policy.
- Where: Vercel is an American company. It states that it is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, recognised by the European Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023.
If you write to the project
Messages sent to wardogscompanion@gmail.com are only used to answer you (legitimate interest, GDPR, art. 6(1)(f)). They are kept in the project’s Gmail mailbox, provided by Google, which may process them outside the European Union, including in the United States, for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.
Your rights
The controller of this processing is the publisher, BiggyQLF, who can be reached at wardogscompanion@gmail.com. Apart from the messages sent to them, they keep no data about visitors. You can access your data, have it corrected or erased, and have its processing restricted: write to them. You will receive a free answer within one month; this may be extended by two months if the request is complex, in which case you will be told.
You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interest (GDPR, art. 21).
You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr/fr/plaintes, in French), or with the data protection authority of the European Economic Area country where you live, where you work or where the alleged infringement took place.
